This anime was really good in alot of ways. With this boxset you also get the OVA which is really good since it explains more about the two female main characters and their past. I don't know what it is, but this series has a slight feel of Heavy Metal mixed with like Full Metal Panic!. I don't really know how to explain it without giving any spoilers away.
It's actually not as violent as you might expect and the characters really depend on eachother. Jo the main herione while cold to some still has a tight nit bond with Meg. They have been together since the begining. Unfortunatly I don't want to go into too much detail, but I do recommend the series. I am sure one of the other reviewers might have explained it better, but I am trying to stay away from possible spoilers. |

| I have about ten Blu-ray anime series from Funimation, and I have to say this series is the best one so far. It seems like this is the one that really takes the High-Def resolution seriously, like the original show was drawn with HD in mind as the resolution and clarity look fantastic. I love neo/futuristic settings like those found in Evangelion, Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell, etc., and this setting does not disappoint. Although of course the picture cannot compare to an HD movie with higher budgets, the city in BUrST Angel can definitely stand on its own - it's really beautiful. And why do I capitalize the letters that way? Well, you don't need to see a minute of the series, because you can just tell from the cover which direction this anime is going. Once again the female characters are incredibly disproportionate, with awesome funky costumes to boot - their costume designer definitely should be considered for an award :P. All in all, a very fun and hilarious series that you will definitely enjoy, even if just for the eye candy ;). |

Burst Angel: The Complete Collection (includes OVA) [Blu-ray]
Burst Angel is a great anime series. And it is even better in blu-ray. The sound will blow you away and the picture quality is great. Now onto the story; The story is interesting and there's action in every episode. If you like watching girls in action, this is the series for you. |
