Product Description |
| Super-sexy and super-flirty, Clark's super-cousin Kara (Laura Vandervoot) made the splashiest addition to the cast in Smallville's season 7. Unfortunately for Clark (Tom Welling), she's more advanced in her powers than he is (she can fly), and she's not the kind to shy away from drawing attention to herself, whether it's in a skimpy bikini or garnering notice from Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) and Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore, joining the opening credits). Chloe (Allison Mack, rightfully moving ahead of Erica Durance in the credits) is trying to come to terms with her "meteor freak" powers, and Lois (Durance) is dallying with the new Daily Planet editor Grant Gabriel (Michael Cassidy), who has a mysterious past. The dreary drama of Lex and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) is over, and Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole) has permanently departed for Congress, so Lana is now playing house with Clark at the Kent farm. More elements of the DC Comics mythology enter, such as superheroine Black Canary (Alana Huffman), as do guest stars from the universe of Super-entertainment (Lois and Clark's Dean Cain as a doctor who claims to be able to "cure" meteor powers, and Helen "Supergirl" Slater as Clark's Kryptonian mother). Braniac (James Marsters) is still a threat, and Lionel (John Glover) reveals a shady past as part of an order called Veritas, which is purportedly assigned with protecting "the Traveler," an alien who has come to Earth as its salvation. Yet even with the numerous cast comings and goings, the most surprising change happened at the end of the season, when series producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar announced their departure. Whether that would be a good or bad thing (and whether it would mean an end to their original Smallville edict, "No flights, no tights") would have to be answered in season 8. --David Horiuchi |

| Husband and son were just completed season seven. We can honestly say that this was the BEST season of Smallville. The season was filled with excitement and suspense. We have recommended it to all of our friends. We cannot wait to see what will happen in season eight. |

| Season seven is one of the best seasons in my mind. Tom Welling directed the episode 'Apocalypse' which was SUPERB! Siren stirred the return of the green arrow plus the new Black Canary. I hope season eight is as good without Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor), Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang) for only a few eps and no Laura vandervoort (Supergirl/Kara Kent). Cant wait to watch the commentary eps - Siren and Persona in the dvd pack!!! |
Take negative reviews and add salt, Season 7 is one of the best

One of the biggest complaints in these reviews on Amazon.com is that Smallville never goes anywhere with the storyline. However, if someone would watch Season 1 and then jump to Season 7, the differences are huge, and headed in the right direction. One of the tags I've heard for the series is something like "Becoming evil isn't as light switch, it's a journey." or something like that. The same goes for becoming a hero to the world. Anyone expecting to see Clark (permanantly able to) fly and in his trademark blue tights is basically asking for the SERIES FINALE.
The truth is, in this season MANY events happened which signal the beginning of the Superman era... MAJOR SPOILERS ALERT: Supergirl is introduced; Lex goes over the edge into pure evil; Black Canary, Green Arrow's future gf, is introduced; Lionel's days are numbered; Lana is shown the door... and if you're looking for lose ends in general to be tied up, Season 7 makes a point to tackle as many as possible. It has been my favorite season since Season 3. I admit the season starts slow, but it took off quickly and never let up. |

| I'm a huge fan of Smallville. I hope the eighth season gets even better. It's a pity that this season they didn't put many features on each single DVD. I hope the new production group don't go far from the original script and that they achieve more episodes. As always, Amazon.com does a very good job delivering what we purchase in the expected time frame and with no hassles. Don't hesitate! Smallville will get you addicted from teh beginning till the end. |
